Want to buy new monitor

My pc: i5-3570,8gb ram,windows 10 pro,nvidia gtx 950 msi.

I wanted to ask 1st if it is worth to buy a 120/144hz monitor and which are do you recommend? My budget is around 250 euro (max 300)
(should i just go with a 60hz monitor?)
I was thinking about getting Asus VG248QE! What do you guys say?

If you're a competitive FPS gamer, 120hz would sound a wise choice. But with a gtx 950, it might be a waste.

If you're a competitive csgo player, always aim to rank up, get 120hz monitor.

Otherwise, I would get 60hz ah-ips monitor for better image quality.

No i am not competitive cs:go player. I play dota2 and a lot of other games. Just wanted to know if its a waste to get a 60hz ah-ips monitor like you said and aim for higher! Can you help me out?

Realistically speaking, it depends on what would you want priortize. Wan better Graphics experience? Go for 60hz AH-ips. Wan be top ranked player? 120hz. Pick your poison.

I'm not sure if dota 2 benefits from 120hz but generally speaking only FPS games benefit from 120hz and your frame rate must be very high to make it worth it. Mmorpg don't bother 120hz.

Personally I would just get 60hz Ah-ips. Becoz it will not just increase graphics experience for your games, but also videos and web browsing usage. Playing FPS games on 60hz is still fairly enjoyable.
