Hiding Items in System Folder

On Windows 10, I made a new folder and set it to be a system folder so that it wouldn't appear on my desktop and be hidden. However, anything I put inside that folder is still showing up in searches. Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

Do I need to do the attrib +s +h on each individual file?

Never mind I manually added the folder to indexing exemptions and that seemed to work!
