Hi all,
I got Acer AXC-603g-UW30 which came with OEM version of Windows 8.1 I upgraded to Windows 10 (Home edition) a few months back, no major problems until now. The other day there was a storm and the computer was turned off. My modem got fried and the ISP gave me a new one.On the win 7 laptop I can connect to internet using cable and Wi-Fi but on the win 10 desktop the Ethernet driver is nowhere to be found. I have tried downloading it again an re-installing without success. It's not even showing up in device manager under unknown devices when I scan for hardware changes. Did anyone else have similar issues with LAN adapter drivers in win 10 and are there any solutions to the problem other than a clean install of windows all over again or resetting it?

Thanks in advance

I strongly suggest you now buy a surge adapter that has ethernet sockets - both my systems are connected to a router which is then fed to the net via a surge adapter with ethernet.
