Questions about cooler and other things (New PC Build)

Hi,

I have a few questions as I have just started building my pc. Heres my pcpartpicker list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/dJfPFd

I was wondering, on the H100i v2 where does the Y cable go on the Motherboard? (Not the Fan, Pump and usb corsair link cables but the one Y cable that comes off the attached CPU cooler attachment) I can show pictures if needed

If something was installed wrong or something bad is about to happen, would the beeps go off? Should I be worried if my fans start speeding up doing certain tasks like browsing the web?

What are common mistakes to look out for?

All that information is in the manuals.
For the biggest problem most people have its not reading the manuals.
The thermal paste was not needed what comes with the cooler works just fine.

And how about if something is going wrong? Will anything be there to stop me/warn me? will it shut off or anything?

Sorry for the newbieniss, as I am a mac user building a pc for the first time.

Download OCCT and MSI kombuster to stress the processor and video card after you build it if you can run both at the same time without heat problems your fine.
Yes the PC will shutdown before anything bad happens.

Thanks a lot! Ill see if I can finish installing my cpu cooler and GPU. Once im done that it should be good.
