CCFL (backlight) replacement for an LED monitor asus ve276q

I have a backup monitor that I am planning on using. All signs point to a faulty CCFL (backlight) on my LED monitor Asus ve276q . Would you recommend that I replace the backlight (would be doing it on my own) or simply purchase a new monitor?

My budget is around $150 and so what would you recommend? The main usage would be gaming/backup monitor.
