Hey there, So i got a few questions for you guys regarding a security camera system we recently setup in a shop that i work at.
And they follow as,

- So, we currently have a 9 camera security system put in place, i set the DVR with all of the cat5 cables running to it into our mezzanine area, now my problem is. Is we want to be able to view the live feed from 2 external monitors about 40 feet away from the DVR system, And still have functions over the DVR itself from sitting at our desks, maybe 15 feet away from the monitor.

- My thoughts were to use a long HDMI cable and to use a HDMI splitter at the end going to the two separate monitors.
Is there a certain length before HDMI starts to get distorted or stops working? would the splitter work Period, i've never used one before so i don't know how dependable they are.

So that takes care of the monitor situation, and onto the functionality part.

-i was thinking to use just the functionality part of the DVR system since it relies sole dependently on a mouse, was to use some USB extenders, maybe 3 or more of these (links will be in the end of the post) just daisy chained together, with a wireless mouse adapter on the end close to where our desks are, to give us the functionality we would need.

- Do USB extenders have a certain length before they stop working completely? or would i get good dependability out of it when using the mouse?

-whats the best long range Bluetooth mouse you would suggest for what i'm trying to do.
-Do you have any thoughts on how i could do this better? or more efficiently?

hey thanks for the reply,
No unfortunately not.. i looked for one too.. and the only problem with that would be i would either
1, always have to have that window open so they don't see my computer screen constantly
2, or have a computer strictly for that which wouldn't be very cost effective..
Thanks for the reply,
Jacob.
