my new dell S2716DGR gsync 144hz monitor is flashing?

I exchanged it because of this but the new one is doing the same thing. I tried stopping "problem reports and solutions..." and "windows error reporting" and I uninstalled all my nvidia drivers and reinstalled them, uninstalled all the monitors drivers and reinstalled them and it still gives me this flashing screen.
I can fix it temporarily by simply going to nvidia control and re applying the same resolution settings but it comes back when I restart.
it doesn't happen every time but it happens enough to piss me off.

What do you mean?
Go into Windows and ensure that your resolution is natively set to 2560x1440, and scaling is all at 100%.
Ensure you are using the Displayport connection, and that it is plugged into your graphics card.

I mean I have to open nvidia control panel select any other resolution, hit apply then I have to go back to my native(2560x1440) resolution for it to stop doing it. Scaling is at 100% I've tried different cables as well as exchanging the monitor for a new one.

Why would you want to run it at 1080p etc. anyway?
Just change the settings in your games, and any media content will automatically run at its native resolution or upscale.
