I began playing Fallout: New Vegas on my Windows 10 PC recently, I got off for the night, and a few days later, the game would crash religiously every time I hit "continue". My father and I have tried almost everything we can, but we may need a few more hands helping us with the problem.
I do believe FNV runs on DirectX 9, and I'm on DirectX 12, which may possibly be part of the problem. In between my two play sessions, Windows did some general updates, which gives a slim chance the updates screwed me over. I'm not sure if the GTX 970 supports DirectX 9. I've tried using mods in FOMM to see if those would help, but no luck. Would going back to 8.1 solve my problem? I've also tried reinstalling the game from Steam multiple times. It is definitely not a corrupted save file. Any help whatsoever is appreciated, I'd love to hear everything you guys have to say.
