Hi all,

So I have this PSU and this GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139058
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130837

So the story is, PSU is new, GPU is something old I'm recycling into this build. This is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/yft28K

The GPU requires 2 6 pin connectors, however the PSU only gives me 1 6+2 PCIE connector. I've read that I could substitute the PSU's peripheral 6 pin as one and use the 6+2 pin for the other. My friend says I can use a splitter on the 6+2 pin to power the GPU'. Is this true?

a 8-pin is designed to deliver twice the power as a single 6-pin

getting a 8-pin to dual 6-pin adapter would cause no issues
