What is G-Sync? is it better than V-Sync? How does it work?

Hello, I'm buying a new PC with a GTX 1060 Windforce.
I noticed it has the "Nvidia G-Sync" logo on it.
Does G-sync work on all monitors? I have a 1600x900 syncmaster s20b300 from Samsung
How does it work?

A totally different beast and better by miles than Vsync.
Unfortunately it only works on monitors made for it, which are $150-200 more expensive than their standard equivalents. So you're out of luck.

g sync is better than v sync in everything and g sync is in a monitor btw not in the GPU if thats what you mean
