I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 10 preinstalled (had no choice). I hate using windows 10, and much prefer windows 7. If I were to buy a windows 7 OEM disk, would it be possible to install that just like if it were a self-built PC and get rid of windows 10?

Thankyou

The drivers are available. Could you expand on the USB thing? You can just install Windows 7 via DVD drive, right?

yes he was just warning about if you were going to use a USB drive to install it because if it is a current gen intel CPU there would be problems installing it that way. id you are using a wndows 7 DVD you will not run into any issues

Yeah, I assumed it was USB as most people's new computers don't come with optical drives anymore. An obstacle to installing windows as some bios don't even seem to want to let you install Win 10 and fight to let you use USB. Lucky for me I have an optical drive so could avoid that with my motherboard.
