How do i turn my sound on my AOC U2879VF Monitor

I'm using a hdmi cable supplied with the monitor but still no sound

It doesn't have any speakers - - tell me where it says it has speakers in the product specs?:

Very few monitors have integrated speakers, you use your PC speaker system for audio.

It's just a monitor, not a TV, so it doesn't need speakers for the job it's designed for.

There must be some sort of speaker built into the monitor if i use earphones I get sound.
