Hi!

I'm building my first pc and I wanted to know which of this 2 configurations is better for video editing (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Avid and maybe Cinema 4D).

Config 1

Config 2

The main differences are the processor (1st one is more powerful but with less cores and threads) and the amount of ram (32 vs 16). The GPU is the same but with different memory (3 vs 6). I'm not planning to do overclock and I have a 22 inch 1080p display that I want to keep (at the moment).

I'm planning on buying it in 3-4 days and I'm between these 2 configurations. Thanks for your help!

Config 1 has a Z170 chipset (overclocking / SLI) paired with a non-k series CPU (non-overclocking). The aftermarket CPU cooler isn't needed when not overclocking and the small SSD will fill up pretty quickly. Look toward a 256GB model.. The PSU her is OK, but not the best.

Config 2 is ok, but still a small SSD and a "weaker" PSU.

Consider something like the build below for a non-overclocking, single GPU setup. If you are not gaming, the GTX 960 will offer great performance for your apps. If you are going to be doing some gaming, then stick with the GTX 1060. Also, light reading on PSUs here www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
