144Hz Monitor connected to laptop via HDMI

Hello peps,

I just ordered BenQ XL2411Z - 144Hz monitor that I want to connect to my laptop that has only HDMI output. I have HDMI to DVD-D Single Link - will I get 144Hz of that cable or I need to find HDMI to DVD-D Dual LInk?

My laptop's HDMI port is 2.0.
As I read lot's of threats and stuff like that is there a way to get 144Hz via HDMI with some adapters or I need to cancel the order and get another monitor?
