Dual 144hz monitors. 1 showing 144hz other one 60hz

I have a Msi gtx 970, both of my AOC G2560P 144hz monitors are plugged in to the GPU both on DVI. Only my main monitor is displaying 144hz, but the other one is only showing 60hz.
How do i fix that?
and yes i have the exact same configurations in the nvidia controlpanel for both.

Have you tried to update, or seeing if there is one, your graphics driver?

It is because only the top port (DVI-D) on your GPU supports 144Hz so the second monitor that is only showing 60Hz needs to be plugged in through the display port on your GPU in order to achieve 144Hz as well.

Whould it work to get a dvi to 2 dvis splitter?

From what I have read a DVI-D splitter would not work how you would want it to. Your monitors have a display port on them so you should order a cheap cable like this one so you can take advantage of 144Hz on the monitor only showing 60Hz right now.
