1440p monitors only for 27inc monitors?

Are 24inc monitors only allow 1080p max? Can i get 24inc monitor with 1440p? If not is a 1080p monitor with 144hz good looking for 2k gaming?

The reason you don't see a lot of 24" screens with 1440p is because the bigger resolution needs the extra screen space to really take advantage of the higher resolution.
