Upgrading dying GTX 760 - suggestions please

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: ASAP - as soon as I settle on a card.

BUDGET RANGE: 300 Euro, perhaps slightly more.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming (Witcher 3, GTAV, Heroes & Generals, Fallout 4, Skyrim, No Man's Sky, Eve Online), Games development (Blender, Unity, Photoshop, Illustrator etc)

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Palit Microsystems GTX 760, Cooler Master G650M

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: CPU - AMD FX 8320, MoBo - ASUSTek M5A78L-M/USB3, RAM - 16GB DDR3 @ 669MHz

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I've pretty much always bought from www.komplett.ie, but open to suggestions of course.

PARTS PREFERENCES: Open to advice - stick with Nvidia, or go with AMD?

OVERCLOCKING: Not really interested in it.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920 x 1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Good cooling would be preferable!

Thanks. Both are actually a lot cheaper than I budgeted for, which is nice (on ebay and amazon, that is). After reading several "versus" articles on the 2 cards, it seems to be a true toss-up. One article says the AMD is slightly better, the next says Nvidia wins... What say you?

Overall, 1060 is better. If you planning on Vulcan and DX12, RX 480 might be a better option. Both are good option at the end.
