Having trouble connecting my HDMI to my Samsung tv

Hi, these past 2 days i have tried everything to get them to connect again as last week it was working fine and the only thing that has really changed is that i've got an anti virus so i cant see it being that. My pc uses a DVI port and that works fine but when i try to hook up my HDMI to my tv, the tv screen goes black, and this is when i attempt to duplicate the screens through windows key + p and whatnot. The only time i can get it to work on my tv, is if i unplug my DVI cable and restart my computer but the second my DVI goes in then it comes off again. My drivers are up to date as is my windows, i use a GTX 780 ti and my OS is windows 10. Any help would be great, cheers. Also i recently uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers and the issue still seems to be there.

Maybe the DVI is native and the HDMI is from a GPU? In which case you need to enable multi-monitor in BIOS. Is difficult to say without knowing your system specs fully.
