hello, just bought an ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC card and I really want to game at 1440p. this is my problem, I can not find any 1440p, IPS, 75Hz - 144Hz for a good price. if anyone could help me out with this it would be much appreciated. Price from $400 - $600 AUD (can stretch it out a small amount but would prefer not to)

minimum requirements: 1440p, IPS, 75Hz, 5ms response time with thin-ish bezels and a minimum size of 27".

I do realise that a monitor for this price may not exist, but hey worth a shot!

The Gsync monitors would be out of OP's price range.

I know and he has a 1070. Better off saving extra, or go for a standard 144Hz monitor. Getting a Freesync monitor even though it''ll be 144Hz regardless using Freesync or not would be gut wrenching couldn't use that feature you payed money for.

The MG279Q is about the cheapest monitor with the requirements OP specified. The price is mainly determined by the IPS panel and refresh rate.

ok, sorry I haven't answered all of the helpful posts you have been putting up, but my internet was down for about a two days. 120Hz monitors or ok for me, but TN panels, nope just can't go there. Right now I have family over in America that can purchase things for me for a lower price (that is why I could afford 1070). It seems that you think that it is a 144Hz monitor is what I want, but if you can find a 1440p 75Hz IPS monitor, that would be great as well! so far I am leaning towards the ASUS MG279Q , as I don't think I need a G-Sync monitor if I have to pay an extra $100 - $200 for it. I am ok with free sync.
