Jittery Video Dell Inspiron N5030

I am working on an older laptop and I cannot definitely figure out my jittery video problem. I am afraid it is the mobo but I want to be as certain as possible that my faulty component is not the LCD. Windows 7 Pro was originally installed and when I adjusted the display to 16-bit color there was no desktop video jittering. Personally I could not see any color difference. (NO gaming -- strictly email, web browsing, and minor document work) Today I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and of course Win10 has no available overall 16-bit\32-bit color adjustment. If I connect to an external monitor PLUS use the internal LCD, there is absolutely no video problem on either screen. If I use only the internal LCD there is a constant jittery desktop video problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Updated Info: If I disconnect the external monitor and reduce the internal display resolution to 1280 x 720, the jittering stops!
