Monitor makes annoying sound if it's too bright.

Title says it all. I've already tried to mute and disable the hdmi sound input, but that doesn't get rid of it. Only making it extremely dim negates the sound.

(I've already changed the settings on my sound card to make the display brighter, but the monitor still has to be dim, which annoys me a lot.)

Is it a loose connection? My old VGA monitor used to do that when the lead was loose. I know thats not an old monitor but worth a try?

It's an old LCD computer, but what do you mean by loose connection?

If iit's VGA try making sure the screws are screwed in tightly.I mean a loose connection with your moniotr, or possibly one inside the cable.

Yup, I tried that. They're all the way in. Still makes that sound. Not sure about inside the cable, though
