Can't filter search results by file types after anniversary update.

A trivial feature such as filtering search results by selecting details file types is not working since I installed the anniversary update. Especially when dealing with folder with large number of files , Can anyone try replicating the bug .
Search for *.* in any large folder or root drive. View by details and press on the file types dropdown arrow. File types no longer show.

It is due to these subtle bugs which keep cropping up in windows 10 .. makes me wonder whether I should downgrade to Windows 7.

Microsoft messed up again with this update. There are plenty of complaints about it. Just wait for a new update to fix this or if you're lucky and did a system backup, you could reroll to maybe a day or two before the update
