Hey,

So two days ago, Windows 10 was making an automatic update on my Lenovo laptop. I went to sleep and it is possible that the laptop went to sleep (too). The next day, as I turned the laptop on, the keyboard and the mouse didn't work. I soon realized I can use it with a second keyboard and mouse.
I asked Windows to troubleshoot the problem and it found a problem in the driver of the keyboard and the mouse, so I updated it (as it was recommended). Then the other mouse wasn't working too.
I was trying to get this work, but nothing worked for me. So I was trying to use the "refresh PC" option, as it was suggested in some of the forums. I made a recovery on a USB stick and started to recover the PC. An error was diagnosed and said it can't do a recovery. From that that moment on it says "An operating system wasn't found" even when I inserted a CD or USB stick with Windows 10 on it (also, the mouse and keyboard still don't work).
(sorry for my English)

Yay,.,, never been happier to see that blue menu... sorry I am slow...

Such a shame start up options isn't there. It must only show if you in windows already

choose start up repair - this will scan PC and maybe fix this - will ask for logon info
you could try system restore as well
if drive saying its locked, try step 3 here using command prompt: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/the-drive-where-windows-is-installed-is-locked

if neither work, I assume refresh PC means a reset?

you might be best using that win 10 installer and fresh install win 10 - use that ubuntu link I gave before and copy everything off hdd you want to keep
boot from USB since it does now and follow this...

is PC a brand name or custom? If brand name, what make/model.. if custom, what are specs? what motherboard do you have?

If you want to save stuff off PC, try this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/

Make a win 10 installer instead of the recovery disk and try to boot off it: On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

It sounds like BIOS is ignoring your CD or USB, you need to change the boot order so it looks at them before the hdd. If you say you have already, try using the Win 10 installer and see if its any different as it should be running off USB, and not getting these errors. If you get same errors, try disconnecting HDD and see if they happen - they shouldn't, it wouldn't make any sense if they did. This just to test installer works

If installer works with hdd installed, try this:
boot from installer, on 2nd screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose safe mode with networking by using number associated with it.
PC will restart and load safe mode

Does mouse/keyboard work here? does safe mode work? If safe mode boots at all it means windows still works sort of
if mouse/kb work, try right clicking start button
choose device manager
see if any unknown devices - i would think mouse/keyboard should be under this header. right click a device and choose properties/driver tab and choose update drivers

restart PC and see if it boots normally. If not, boot from installer again and
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up repair - this will scan PC and maybe fix this - will ask for logon info

Here's what I get when I try to change the boot order. I'm not really sure what I should change and don't want to mess something up, can you help me what to choose? https://postimg.org/image/rt38sxbbv/

I followed the instructions as it was recommended in the link above and it still restarts the laptop with the message "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain the operating system.".
So, as said in the instructions above, I set it like this: https://postimg.org/image/j23760oxr/ . It says nothing about the "boot priority", so I have tried it both with "legacy first" and "UEFI first" - neither one works.
Then, when press the Novo button (step 9 in the link), I have these options - https://postimg.org/image/opzw9vct9/ . (I have also tried "normal setup" and "system recovery" and it says the same - "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain the operating system."
As I go in the "Boot Menu", like recommended, it looks like this - https://postimg.org/image/nv583km1n/ . I click on the USB HDD, and voila - the same error all over again.
Of course, I have tried to unplug the other keyboard (cause the one on the laptop isn't working - although I can't do anything without the other one) and the situation is the same.
Have any more tips? And thanks, I really appreciate the help and the time you invested.

So that really worked for me, man! I'm in this menu now, https://postimg.org/image/6z4ww10jh/
U have any tips what to do next? (when I did it on my own - doing the "recover from a drive" in the menu before, inserting the USB that was previously made as a recovery disc - it says, it is locked).
