Monitor not working in dual monitor setup

So, where to start...

Today I tried something that I've never tried before. I tried to connect another monitor to my PC to make a dual monitor setup. The monitor that I was using before works perfectly with an HDMI cable. But the second one which I wanted to connect afterwards just doesn't want to work. If I plug the HDMI into the monitor and into the PC it doesn't recognize that I've connected it. If I try to select HDMI in the source menu it says there is no cable connected.
Things that I've tried:
- Replacing the HDMI cables (WAS = without any success)
- Factory resetting the monitor (WAS)
- Plugging in the monitor into my PS3 to see if that works. (IT WORKED!!!)
- Downloading a driver for the monitor (WAS)

So yeah, it seems to me that the monitor doesn't want me to have a dual monitor setup

Any ideas?

Please let us know the specifics of your system. It could be that it currently is not dual screen capable.

monitor no.1: lg d2343p
monitor no.2: samsung T27D390EW
