Hi,

I just recently bought a new 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD.

Would the following be possible:

1. Unplug the HDD and reinstall Win 10 on the SSD.
2. Plug the HDD back in and boot from the SSD.
3. Move some games over from the HDD to the SSD and leave the rest on my HDD.

Can I manually remove the Windows folder once I've installed it on my SSD?

Solution
Yes. But it is always advisable to do a full Format of a drive that has had an OS installed on to it to avoid any issues.

I would strongly suggest backing up what you would like to keep from your HDD, format it, and then transfer the backed-up files back on it.

My main partition is 745GB and I have no space to back up everything I want to keep.
As long as it's possible to just keep all the data on my old HDD it's fine by me. I can always format the drive later on when I have the space, right?
