Anything beyond that will need a new motherboard on top of the CPU, potentially even a RAM upgrade - which can't be done on a $150 budget (for anything worthwhile over your i3).
What is it you're trying to do? The i3-2100 is still pretty viable for most tasks, including light gaming.....
Look to a minimum i5 though OP, the i3's of the next generation are not going to show much noticeable improvement over your existing CPU. An i5 or i7 would be great though (or even a Xeon).

Well I play video games and sometimes do video editing. Thats why I bought my graphics card to improve alot more in gaming. Well I just need a new processor. To make my computer run a lot more faster than before.
