Hello, this is my first post here. I am a recently reformed tech enthusiast, having only taken it up a year ago. That said I enjoy taking "broken" or "out-dated" machines and rehabbing them into something viable.
Machine I need help with:
HP Compaq Elite 8200 SFF
I Replaced the i5-2400 with an i5-2550k that I got cheap. A little faster but no GPU.
To remedy the lack of GPU a picked up a ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with a DMS-59 output.
I have three monitors two of which have both VGA and DVI input. One is VGA only.
I have a DMS-59 to VGA splitter and can run dual monitors as is. I tried connecting a third monitor to the onboard VGA hub to no avail. Before I end up writing a book about it I have two questions.
1. Can I run triple monitors on this system?
2. Was I better off with the i5-2400 for this set-up?(I still have it)
I have done a lot of research and I'm pretty sure my head is about to explode. With so many different configurations I am probably a little out of my comfort zone deciding.
