Win8 owner wants to re-install via UEFI

Hi, i own windows 8.
Windows currently lets you upgrade to windows 10 free of charge which i think is nice. I did the upgrade and i like it.

One thing that always bugged me is that i didnt make a UEFI install when i installed windows 8 back then.

Question: Is there a way to reinstall windows 10 as a whole with my windows 8 key? Also: How can i check whether my os is a UEFI or BIOS installation post-installation because i honestly dont know what i did 2 years ago when i installed my os...?

just install win10 again, it's keyed against your hardware, don't enter a key, just activate online. 99% certain this will work, did it on my laptop, but without the uefi issue.
