Boot Error Message After Successful Boot

Hello, so I own a desktop pc that I built myself. It's been working fine for the past year, but lately it's been having boot issues. I typically get no boot issues upon startup, but after being on for a bit, I get a black screen with an error message saying "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". I've already gone into the BIOS and made sure the hard disc is set as the priority boot device. My PC runs on Windows 10 and did update recently, coinciding with the start of my issues. I installed the OS with a USB drive that I'm not sure I have anymore, so reinstalling may not be an option. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

try to use another sata cable from the motherboard to hdd also test your hdd with his maker software .
