i have FSP Hydro 500w PSU
i also have
cpu- i5 6500
ram: 16gb HyperX 2133mhz cl14 ram
mobo: MSI b150m Mortar

and im planning to get Seagate FireCuda SSHD 1TB and GTX 1070 in month or two so im worried will that PSU be good enough for that components? im afraid that if i overload it that it will explode and kill other components
PSU calculator says recommended PSU wattage 401w but i saw some gtx 1070 use up to 310w (but TDP is 150w) when gaming + cpu and other components wattage and it goes close to 400w and im just afraid that i will overload it because its not smart to use 400 out of 456w (i think that's how much w are on 12v)

Yes your psu is enough, you don't have to worry about overloading or blowing things up with this one.

What you probably saw was the entire systems wattage usage,so this includes the cpu and other components. This is most of the times measured from the wallsocket so what the pc really uses is even less.
