Hi I'm looking for a good cheap 1440p monitor for gaming but I don't know what to get. I found 2 monitors that I'm considering. I looking in the price range of $350 to $600 CAD.

Acer XG270HU 27" https://goo.gl/9gnhRs

ASUS PB258Q 25" https://goo.gl/7UzJIO

Which one of these is better for gaming and if you know any good ones, link them to me.

Thanks!

What are your specs?
You'd want at least a 980ti/1070 for 1440p gaming. ;)
If you do have those specs, then the XG270HU is definitely the best value choice in Canada, the PB258Q isn't as good, and an IPS 144hz variant would set you back $700.

Personal preference I guess...I'm picky about such things :) I have the H257HU variant x2, great monitors with great colour, $350 cdn a piece.

Is this monitor good for gaming http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009728 and is there a noticeable difference between 4ms and 1ms?

Not really. A 25" ultra wide is only 13" or so tall. That's about as tall as a 15" laptop screen, but a lot wider. At 1440p, you'll get an amazingly detailed picture, that just happens to be so small you can't see the details. For the ultra wide screens, anything less than 34" really isn't worth the effort for gaming. Best use of a 25" ultra wide is in portrait mode (turned sideways) and used for office type apps like Adobe or Excel when reading full page documents.

Unless you really want to stretch your budget way past its limits, you'll not get an IPS screen monitor with less than a 4ms refresh. IPS generally have a better picture and better coloring than TN panels, but TN panels have a better refresh. Trade off. To get a 1ms IPS panel 27" 1440p, you'd be looking at closer to CAD$900.
