Advice on build appreciated

Hi everybody, so I'm about to build my first desktop in years (second over all), but I'm mainly lost when it comes to picking a GPU, since I've never been a hardcore pc gamer. I'd use my new build mainly for everyday things, like browsing, YouTube and the occasional game. But I don't necessarily need to run them at 60fps or ultra settings. Oh and I'm not going to overclock. Some parts may be overkill for my purpose, but I also want the build to be future-proof/upgradeable to some extent. My budget would be up to about 600€, which would be about 670$, according to google.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500

Motherboard: Asus B150 Pro Gaming Aura

RAM: 2x Crucial DDR4 4GB, 2133MHz

GPU: Not yet chosen/Uncertain (eventually a Palit GTX 950 Storm X Dual 2GB)

PSU: Not yet chosen

Case: Not yet chosen

Thanks a lot, in advance! :)

Thanks for the list, but I have 2 questions:

1. Do I really need an aftermarket CPU cooler, if I'm not going to overclock? and 2. Aren't 550W way too much? After calculating my expected power usage on another website, I always get about 320W as a recommendation, so wouldn't 400 to 430W do the job?

Okay, so yes I would highly recommend you soend those few dollars and go with a highly trusted and recommended air cooler, remember that is the frontal lobe to your brain and an a pricey part of your build, care for it. As to the psu requirements remeber what you are seeing is just an estimate and is the constant power pull so it very well could be more than the estimate provided and also when your pc is under load you will be pulling more juice so yes the 550w is perfect for your needs say your true constant rate is 340w under load you pull 100w more now you are are at 440w and your psu is under powered. Also, psu manufacturers are also notorious for slightly inflating the wattage output on their psu, 550w is good spot for you and should also cover you if you add another gpu.

Ok, thanks for your advice! I might get an i5 6400 instead of the 6500 though, should be enough for my needs. And I'll probably reconsider which GPU I'm getting, since the Gigabyte GTX 960 you recommended, is about 290$ here. Most components are a bit or a lot more expensive where I live, German prices suck! haha

So I'd rather get a cheaper, albeit "outdated" graphics card now and maybe upgrade it later on, should I need more power.

Given your budget, this is probably your best bet, overally.
