I have purchased dell laptop with ubuntu pre installed on it.. now i want to completely remove it and want to clean install windows 10.. but some friends says that u can clean install as u have to clean partitions using cmd on linux/ubuntu etc etd... so without doing anything in ubuntu can i directly connect bootable usb (with win10 in it) and delete and format partitions at the time of installation process (when it ask for where u want to install)..???
will it work fine??? please reply if anybody done it before?

thank you

Solution
The answer is yes. During the installation of Windows 10 you will have the opportunity to reformat and re partition the hard drive the way that you want.

Have you already purchased a license for Windows 10?

yes..
thanx for quick response

Exactly. It does not matter if you have Linux Mint, Debian, Ubuntu or a different distro, you can manage your partitions during the Windows 10 install.
