Cannot remove samsung U24E590D stand

Hi!
I've searched on the internet and i've only found that i&ve to hit the stand with one hand while grabing it with the other, but it doesn't work! I've spent all the afternoon tryna removing it but nothing worked! Any ideas?

I think someone was funnin ya suggesting that you hit it. Percussive maintenance will only damage it.

Check page 26 on this. It mentions pressing, not hitting.
