Could a GTX 1070 run this monitor?

So I'm planning a new build with a GTX 1070 in in and I've also looked at a new monitor and found one that interest me. But i'm not sure if a 1070 could push the all those pixels and still get good framerate in games.

Not planning to use Freesync. For what I've seen is there any benefit?

I wouldn't worry about it to much. The gsync montors cost over $700 and Nvidia any day could support freesync. The monitor will work fine without the option given your video card will push a min 60fps on most all games I see no issues. Basically no need to smooth your fps if your min fps is more than the refresh rate. I could see into gsync if this was a 4K or 1440 144 monitor.

So there isn't much benefit to Freesync and Gsync? What I'm getting out of it is they've partnered with people to say buy this GPU to get this on this monitor.

The point of the 2 sync methods is to smooth our fps if the video card cant keep. Your video card can keep up easily with the monitor. Its a 60hz monitor with a bit more pixels than a 1080p. So basically you choices make them worthless. If you got a 4K or 1440 144hz then you would need it.
