Is my computer over heating???

My computer here recently has been acting realy slow for about a day or two and then it would just fix itself, i use norton as my virus protection and it has said that they haven't detected anything or any problems. It only happens when ever i watch netflix on it for about 6 hrs. i talked to one of my friends about it and he thinks it is over heating, im not sure what is wrong or what to do about it, any solutions could help

You might want to install a hardware monitor that can let you know what your hardware temperatures are if you suspect it is overheating.
It could also be that programs are running in the background, or updates are downloading.

it's quite easy to see if it's actually overheating. just get a program that monitors temps.
