If my old laptop has Windows 10 on it, is there a way to transfer it on to my future PC instead of buying another OS for it?

I'm building a PC soon, but I'd like to save money on the OS. My old laptop has Windows 10 on it, and I was wondering if it is possible to use that OS on my future PC, even if that means using my laptops storage.

Buy a new OS. Go out to lunch with the extra.

Only if you bought a separate copy of Windows for the laptop. If it's the copy that came with the machine when you bought it (even if it was an earlier version of Windows and you have since upgraded it to 10), it is not transferable to another computer.
