New Build (Z97 to Z170). Does That Equal Fresh OS Install?

I am doing a new build and going from Win 10 on my Z97 to Win 10 on a Z170. Once my M.2 Samsung SSD arrives I plan to move over my build.

My questions is do I have to do a fresh install of Win 10 on my new system and leave it that way and basically start over?

Or

Can I do the new install but take an image from Acronis Trueimage and be back up and running in no time?

Is it that simple or are there issues with drivers and locations when going to a new motherboard and using a backup image or even Samsung Migration?

Thanks in advance.

its always best to do a clean install when you are changing motherboards because of all of the hardware changes. if you were just changing your windows drive to an SSD drive you wouldn't have to

+1 even if it somehow works and boots up there are ALWAYS issues. Why spend all that money if you're not going to get the best performance you can out of it.
