  1. Those ref Nvidia cards are so damn SEXY!
  2. "as is the lack of availability from geforce.com"

In stock now! Buy 'em while they're hot!
  3. I'd love to see a "best passively cooled yet useful" and a best "CUDA/OpenCL for under $150" added to this. Nice considerations for modest/home workstations for content creators.
  4. You mis said the Titan X(P) had a GP104 GPU, its GP102.
  5. In Switzerland, both 1060 and 480 start around 230 with a little advantage for 1060.
(I'd go for the 1060 anyday)
  6. This will change constantly, but currently as of 10/14/16:

    $60-$65 GTX 580
    $100 AMD Radeon 7970 3GB
    $200-$230 GTX 1060 3GB**
    $240-$260 GTX 1060 6GB**
    $260 AMD R9 Fury (not X)
    $350 GTX 980 TI
    $380 GTX 1070

After this I'd recommend GTX 1070 SLI. Otherwise you pay a premium for Nvidia.

Can't wait until the next line of AMD cards pushes the industry forward. :)

Seems like you always pay a premium for Nvidia, and I blame AMD for that , lol!

Amen! I just hope they can compete with the Nvidias at the top of the chart.
  8. You need to consider the application advantages the RX-460 holds over the R7-360 as well. Not only is the 460 faster by a decent margin but there are several models that require no external power (unlike the R7-360) These are by far the most powerful option at the price point (and nearly any price point) for most OEM form factor pre-built systems that have no 6 pin connectors, which I can't help but assume a lions share of these cards are being installed by entry level gamers and e-sports cafe's.
  9. Some of the 960s are also available below the price of RX 470 here in india.
    are they both same?

  10. I think they are probably close with the RX 470 on top. Of course now Nvidia has announced the GTX 1050 & GTX 1050 Ti, which will change price line-ups for AMD & Nvidia partners.
  11. RX 470 is closer to a 970 than a 960 in terms of performance.
  12. They should have list of low profile cards & low power cards.
  13. In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon RX 460 2GB are significantly better than the AMD Radeon R7 360.

The RX 460 has a 40 MHz higher core clock speed and 8 more Texture Mapping Units than the Radeon R7 360. This results in the RX 460 providing 10.6 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The RX 460 has a 40 MHz higher core clock speed than the Radeon R7 360 and the same number of Render Output Units. This results in the RX 460 providing 0.6 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The RX 460 was released over a year more recently than the Radeon R7 360, and so the RX 460 is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the Radeon R7 360.

The Radeon RX 460 2GB and the Radeon R7 360 have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The Radeon R7 360 has 96 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the RX 460, which means that the memory performance of the Radeon R7 360 is massively better than the RX 460.

The Radeon RX 460 2GB has 896 Shader Processing Units and the Radeon R7 360 has 768. However, the actual shader performance of the RX 460 is 1075 and the actual shader performance of the Radeon R7 360 is 685. The RX 460 having 390 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the Radeon R7 360 performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The RX 460 transistor size technology is 14 nm (nanometers) smaller than the Radeon R7 360. This means that the RX 460 is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the Radeon R7 360.

The Radeon RX 460 2GB requires 75 Watts to run and the Radeon R7 360 requires 75 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 350 Watts for the RX 460 and a PSU with at least 500 Watts for the Radeon R7 360. The two GPUs require the same amount of wattage to run. As such, there is no need to worry about which will more significantly affect your yearly electricity bills.
  14. Ooops! The memory bandwidth of the R7 360 is 96GB/sec and the RX 460 is 112GB/sec. Another point is that the RX 460 has 3 billion transistors in its 14 nm processing chip and is closely related to its RX 470 and 480 big brothers. The RX 460 can be played at 1600 x 900 resolution with all detail intact. It can be played at 1920X1080 with some reduction of the detail to be rendered.

The RX 460 outplays the Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 TI in all games although the GTX 750 TI continues to cost more. AMD created the entire RX line to underprice Nvidia offerings while outperforming them. i.e. the RX 480 8 GB competes with the GTX 1060 6 GB. The RX 480 has more memory, a wider 256 bit buss as opposed to 192 bit on the GTX and the GPU on the RX 480 has 5.7 billion transistors while typically available for $239, or $60 less and not $299 for the 4 GB model!!!! You can check it out on NewEgg.
  15. After all total correction in graphic card for best gaming performance Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 is best one......
  16. I think for price/performance the GTX1070 is a great Nvidia model. They start around $430 and they are equal to the GTX 980 Ti which launched around $649.
  17. GTX1050 (ti) are out for quite some time now. How about an update?
  18. Hello there.
Which one is better for 1080p 60fps ultra or high for the next 3 years?
gtx 1060 paired with core i7 6700 or gtx 1070 paired with core i5 6500.
  19. If the games you are playing are more CPU intensive get the GTX 1060 paired with core i7 6700. If they are more GPU intensive I'd get the GTX 1070 paired with core i5 6500.
