Hi,

I have an Eizo Foris FG2421 120HZ monitor which is great and all, however when I play singleplayer games I like to max out my visuals to get a constant 60FPS rather then getting 120FPS with much lower graphics. However the problem is that 60FPS feels so bad even if its constant, it feels worser than 60FPS on my previous 60HZ monitor. 60FPS on my old 60HZ monitor felt nice and smooth but on my new monitor it just feels sluggish and bad, for mulitplayer I always try to lower graphics to get a constant 120fps so its great. Is it meant to be likle this? if so I would rather just get a 4K or 1440P 60HZ monitor then

Thanks

It is kind of strange. 120hz panels should run just like a 60hz one when set to 60hz.

It could be the less uniform transition from dark to mid colors causing some issues, but I can not say for sure since all users are effected differently.

I know personally I have used 120(144hz) displays at 60 and it looked like a normal 60 hz for the most part(the input delay is higher once you are used to 120hz however).

If you have to turn down settings for 120hz @ 1920 x 1080 then 4k at 60hz will require lower settings as well.

If you are using the Turbo 240 feature it may not help at 60 fps. I would recommend turning it OFF and setting the monitor to 60hz to see if it feels better.

Also be aware that VA panels are not the fastest(but one adjusts to the monitor they use).
