So monitor can run off HDMI and GPU can run hdmi.. you need a HDMI cable. I assume it came with a blue cable? and GPU doesn't have that connection type anymore. Cables not expensive and even if I am wrong, you can buy VGA to DVI adaptors, or VGA to HDMI adaptors as well.

your manual: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201604/20160412110839036/BN46-00444A-Eng.pdf
Card specs: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications

My last monitor only had VGA & DVI, my current monitor has neither of those and only Display Port and HDMI, but it was bought to match my graphics cards outputs. Surprised Samsung still make monitors with VGA connections.

What monitor are you using, and which Nvidia GPU?

you can probably buy an adaptor to convert signal from HDMI/DP or DVI to VGA - I assume that is the cable that doesn't work

you currently running off integrated graphics, the Nvidia card is not doing anything so thats why its control panel options don't show up

I know this is an old thread but I need some help, spent the last 3 days trying to fix this BS AGAIN!
This is really strange for me since I'm using a damn LAPTOP and not a DESK TOP yet I get the same error. Also my Intel HD 3000 went south with a corrupt or bad download.I reinstalled an older version and tried updating it.That doesn't work either!??? Laptop was running fine 2 nights ago.Got on it Yesterday and that freaking CCleaner decided to start cleaning my machine without input nor being set to run! This happens ever 2-3 Months on average and have to reinstall the OS over again or reset Windows 10 which is a pain in the you know what! Had a chat with MS support last night and ran an in place upgrade THAT was supposed to fix my driver, well that didn't work either. Now I'm stuck with an Alienware M14XR1 that looks and plays like !@#$ until someone can help without a reinstall,a reset is fine but that usually won't work because of the faulty drivers!!!
So 1)why on Earth would I get the display error when only one display on a laptop and 2) no drivers I try including the one I had on here before the corruption will not allow me to open either Intel Control panel nor the one from Nividia. Both are now installed and show in Device Mgr and up to date!
