Whenever my GPU is not installed, I can run my computer normally. When I plug it in, only a black screen shows up. I am connected to the GPU with a VGA to HDMI adapter and my monitor uses VGA. The GPU has a DVI-d slot but no VGA. I also tried to switch the PCIE slot that I plugged my GPU into but nothing happened.I tried to disable my integrated graphics and plug in the GPU but nothing happened. I also tried resetting my CMOS but no success either. The PCIE and power cable are both secure. This is the first PC I ever built I am trying to get the GPU to work.
