I don't even know how to ask this question properly but I hope this explains it:

I built a PC 6 months ago and have been using it without a dedicated GPU. I finally got a new one yesterday and plugged the HDMI cable to the GPU instead. Everything is good except when I play games, I see random waves going down my screen(like the ones you see in old school TVs). So I decided to go back to using the Mobo's HDMI port but my monitor isn't picking it up anymore.

How can I fix this?

Solution
To enable the onboard graphics instead of dedicated graphics, you will have to go into the BIOS/UEFI settings and choose the video display device and choose the cpu or motherboard graphics.
