How do I run games and other applications on JUST my TV?

I have a dual setup, one being my 4k 60 inch tv for gaming, and i have a desk with a monitor for school work and such.

How can i run just games and other apps (like movies or whatever from the internet) on JUST my TV? I want to keep the desktop view for picking the games, running the apps, going into files, etc on my monitor. Can i do this simultaneously?

Im running this on one GPU (GTX 980TI) with my TV running through HDMI and Monitor running through DVI-HDMI

Some games will allow you to select the monitor it displays on in the settings, but otherwise you will just have to go into display settings and change the default monitor.

Windows remembers which display a window is opened on. For games to run in fullscreen on the tv, that should be set to primary. Then you can just drag anything else to the monitor.

As above thou you will probably nees full screen windowed mode or else youd have to tab out of the game to go onto your other monitor
