Upgrading my pc for first time in 4 years.

So Far I have

Asus geforce 1060 gtx

g skill ripjaws v series 32gb

asus z170 -a lga

intel core i7 -6700k

total price for all that is 900$ which is a little more than I wanted to spend, anywhere I can save some money? obviously the processor is the most obvious thing. They have decent amd ones for
145$ even 100$. Obviously intel is better. but how much better? Any other suggestions before I spend 900$???

Don't go AMD. They would not come anywhere close to the performance you'll get with what you have.

You can also scale back to 16GB of RAM.
