My monitor will not receive a signal from my computer, but my TV will. Help?

As i was launching CS:GO the other day, my monitor screen went black. Then said there was no HDMI signal and turned off. I tried unplugging the HDMI from the monitor, and then plugging it back in but it didn't work. I then plugged the HDMI into my TV instead, and it works. I don't think there is a problem with my computer because the TV works but the monitor doesn't. I think my Monitor may need to be replaced, but I want to try everything I can before i spend the money to replace it.

Intel i7- 4790K

did you find a solution? http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-3217483/double-monitor-problem-black-screen.html something similair happens to me, and always when i launch CSGO, other games work fine, but i have this black screen every time i launch CSGO and the TV is on. If i turn off the TV it works fine...TV is HDMI cabble and my main monitor is VGA. This started happening since win 10 last update, before it was ok...

it only blacks out with that game or other games too? know anybody who plays that game to see if your monitor still blacks out?

it only blacks out when i launch CSGO, other games run normal, somehow I found a solution - check compatibility on CSGO.exe file and set it to windows 8
