Unsuported signal. Check output device

I bought a 10m HDMI cable to connect my Sony tv to my pc. First, i couldnt get any signal on the tv and a message appeared on the tv telling "unsuported signal check output device". Then i managed to get video by disabling the audio driver from nvidia or by disabling tv audio from nvidia control panel. I also discovered that if i used some resolutions (like 720p) i could get both audio and video, and also if i used 1080 but with 24hz instead of 60hz. so i thought it may be the cable that cant support that signal, but then i plugged my notebook and it perfectly gives 1080p 60hz so i dont know what to do. please help me.

What GPU is in the PC and the laptop. Can you move you PC closer and try a shorter (6ft) HDMI cable? If that works, then just get a better cable.

the gpu on the pc is a gtx 970 and the notebook is an intel integrated

The GPU should not be a problem, I was driving a 4K TV with a 970 before I got my 1080, can you try a shorter cable
