the network: fiber in a ONT ( 300 down 100 up ) From ONT to router ( ont is in bridge mode) gb connection cable.

From router i have a GB connection to PC, and a wifi AC connection to my NAS.
when i download from the internet. i get around 30 MB / sec
When i upload to my NAS over wifi IN LAN . i get 32 MB / sec

here is where the problem begins :
if i download over internet and start uploading over WIFI in LAN to my NAS. upload to nas goes to 32 MB, Download from internet drops from 30 MB to 5 MB.

Any idea why ? HDD i do the transfers from is a 1 TB WD blue. PC reports usage around 50 %.

Router is a ASUS AC1200G+ (added by moderator).

Tried some obivious QOS settings. but did not end well. speed was way worse . Does not seem to be priority related tho. In theory should be enough power to upload and download at max speed
