PC Keeps Freezing

Recently my PC randomly freezes when im playing a game. What happens Is that it just stops and will stay on what ever frame it was on when in froze and i cant tab out or press windows button and the only way to stop it is to restart my pc. Also these freezes happen quite regularly around 2 times a week. Im not sure if these freezes are specific to just games or can happen when on other things like google but i have only had them happen during a game.

Edit: Just happened and noticed that the hard drive light went off so maybe the hard drive is the problem?

Sounds like you may have found it, try a new sata cable and move the drive to a different power connector to rule those out.

I just got round to swapping them out to day, will update if it crashes or not

It's been over a week now since i changed the cables and so far there has not been any crashes, so i think that has done the trick. Thank you for helping

Edit: I spoke to soon... It just happened again
