I'm a graphic artist / illustrator, and after a few years of getting by on standard 1080 monitors, I have some extra funds for a couple IPS monitors. My budget isn't insane, but here's what I was looking at.

Acer G257HU

Acer G257HL (1080 version of above)

Asus PB258Q
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VRKVGJG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2YDVF8VJ277JA&coliid=I27JQY4OON4MOA&psc=1

Anything else folks would recommend? They don't have to be 1440, but it would be nice. I'd also like to stick with 16:9.

The PB258Q is probably the best monitor out of those three imo, but alas it is also the most expensive! :p
What is your budget all up?
Do you want 2 or three monitors?
I'd say that especially with photo and video work, 1440p is definitely a good jump from 1080p.
You'll get higher pixel density and as a result your work will be much more accurate.
Would you consider a single 4k monitor?

I'll definitely be using a couple monitors, so a single 4k is out of the picture unfortunately. I really didn't want to spend more than 300 a monitor.

If you don't mind me asking, what sets the PB258Q apart from the others (other than the price sticker : P) Is there anything in that range I should also be looking at?

I'm an acer fan, good solid build at a good price.
forget the 1080 version, no point if you got a 1080 monitor already, if you wanna upgrade then 1440 is the next step for a graphic artist.
ips gives a greater viewing angle of your screen noticeably. changing from tn to ips you'll wonder how you ever survived.

So another curve ball - I might just be buying a single monitor, but would like to stay in the 25", 1440 specs. If I was to go to $450-ish money, what would everyone recommend?
